According to TMZ, singer Tori Kelly was taken to the hospital immediately after collapsing at a dinner in Los Angeles on Sunday night. She passed out in a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital. According to TMZ, physicians at the hospital found blood clots in her legs and lungs. According to reports, Kelly has been experiencing bouts of unconsciousness while doctors examine her to see whether she has any blood clots near her heart.
Vulture has contacted Kelly’s representatives for comment. The Grammy-winning singer first gained notoriety on YouTube and while participating in American Idol’s ninth season in 2010. Kelly released her debut album Unbreakable Smile in 2015 and received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 58th Grammys after signing to Capitol Records with her new manager Scooter Braun. She didn’t win two Grammys for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song until her second studio album, Hiding Place. Kelly recently switched to Epic Records, and this week, on July 28, she will release her upcoming EP, tori.
